Highland Park came into Thursday's   contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victor by  a  21-14 margin over the Claude Mustangs on Thursday. The Hornets not only won  on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win  since February 10th.
 Haley Rogers and  Joeli Neusch did most of the damage at the plate:  Rogers  went 2-for-5 with four  RBI and two  runs, while  Neusch  scored three  runs and  stole  Two bases. while  getting on base  in four of her six plate appearances. That's the most  stolen bases  Neusch has posted since back in February.  J'Niyah Hearn was another key player,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in four of her six plate appearances.
 They weren't the only ones working in the  hit department: Highland Park  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That's a new  trend for them: they were averaging 4.2  hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.
Highland Park's victory bumped their record up to 4-12-1. As for Claude, their loss was  their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 3-10.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland Park will venture away from home to  face off against Sanford-Fritch  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Highland Park has given up an average of 13.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Claude, they will face off against Gruver at 4:00  p.m.  on March 28th.
