Mercer County has gone a perfect 5-0 against Orion recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Golden Eagles will welcome the Chargers at 4:30 p.m. Mercer County is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Mercer County came up short against Seneca on Saturday, falling 8-2.

Mercer County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alivia Gillespie, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Orion came into Friday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past Hall 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Chargers have posted since April 19, 2024.

Orion's win bumped their record up to 10-23. As for Mercer County, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-11.

Mercer County was able to grind out a solid victory over Orion in their previous matchup back in April, winning 8-4. Will the Golden Eagles repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
