Daviess County won the last time they faced Madisonville-North Hopkins and things went their way on Monday too. The Panthers put the hurt on the Maroons with a sharp 11-1 victory. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on six straight.

Brodie Tucker spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits.

At the plate, Daviess County got a massive performance out of Sean Page, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. Those six RBI gave Page a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Mewes, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Daviess County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .658. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Daviess County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-11. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.

Coming up, Daviess County will face off against Owensboro at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, they will square off against Union County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Braves will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Maroons surely won't give up without a fight.
