Soccer Recap: Leicester Comes Up Short

The Leicester Wolverines didn't have quite enough to beat the North Polar Bears on Monday and fell 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Leicester came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked seventh, while North are ranked 78th).

This is the second loss in a row for Leicester and nudges their season record down to 4-2-1. As for North, their win bumped their record up to 4-1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leicester will welcome Assabet Valley RVT at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Advanced Math & Science Academy at 3:30 p.m.
