Baseball Recap: Henley Comes Up Short

Henley entered their matchup against Crater on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Hornets fell just short of the Comets by a score of 6-5. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Derrick Cox was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Jacoby Tacchini was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

The defeat was their first at home, dropping their record down to 7-2. As for Crater, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Henley will face off against Junction City at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crater, they will square off against Churchill at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
