Basketball Recap: Maranatha Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

Maranatha Baptist Academy lost against Mountain Grove Christian Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Maranatha Baptist Academy Warriors fell 37-27 to the Mountain Grove Christian Academy EAGLES. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while the EAGLES are ranked 219th).

Maranatha Baptist Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Mountain Grove Christian Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Maranatha Baptist Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mountain Grove Christian Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Aurora Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on February 18th.
