Basketball Game Preview: Roosevelt Bears vs. Allen Park Jaguars

Roosevelt is 2-8 against Allen Park since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Roosevelt Bears will face off against the Allen Park Jaguars at 7:00 p.m.

Roosevelt is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 26th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-54 heartbreaker at the hands of Melvindale. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 648th, while the Cardinals are ranked 242nd).

Meanwhile, Allen Park waltzed into their game on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 45-38 victory over the Warriors.

Allen Park pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 0-22.

Roosevelt came up short against Allen Park in their previous matchup back in January, falling 44-34. Can Roosevelt avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
