Basketball Recap: Brandon Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

If Lawrence County wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Brandon, they should've done a better job of containing Braylon Barnes. The Brandon Bulldogs strolled past the Lawrence County Cougars with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 55-36 thanks in part to Barnes, who went 8 for 17 on his way to 18 points along with seven boards and three steals. The contest was his tenth in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Braelyn Bailey, who posted eight points in addition to four steals and three blocks. That's the most blocks he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Brandon is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points per game. As for Lawrence County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
