Sunrise Mountain has gone a perfect 9-0 against Kellis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Mustangs will face off against the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. Sunrise Mountain is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Sunrise Mountain is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since March 12th on Friday. They lost 3-0 to Willow Canyon. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

While Sunrise Mountain was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 25-18.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Kellis duked it out with Canyon View on Friday. The Cougars came up short against the Jaguars, falling 3-0. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sunrise Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Kellis, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Everything went Sunrise Mountain's way against Kellis in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Sunrise Mountain made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
