Soccer Game Preview: Central Cabarrus vs. Concord

The Central Cabarrus Vikings will square off against the Concord Spiders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Cabarrus will be strutting in after a victory while Concord will be coming in after a defeat.

Central Cabarrus had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the three-goal drubbing they dealt Robinson on Friday. Central Cabarrus' defense stepped up to hand Robinson a 3-0 shutout. Considering Central Cabarrus have won three contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Concord was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against West Rowan, falling 4-1. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Concord struggled afterwards.

Central Cabarrus' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three games. As for Concord, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Central Cabarrus took their win against Concord when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0. Does Central Cabarrus have another victory up their sleeve, or will Concord turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
