Triton posted their closest win since April 22nd on Monday. They skirted past the Deptford Spartans 3-2. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 5-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Dylan Bernard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jason Good, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Monte, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Triton is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Deptford, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Triton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Spartans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
