Recap: Spackenkill Spartans vs. Rhinebeck Hawks
The Spackenkill Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 46-29 win over Rhinebeck. That's another feather in the cap for Spackenkill, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Spackenkill was led to victory by Blythe Mcquade and Maryclare Parker-stark. Mcquade scored 16 points along with two steals, while Parker-stark dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Parker-stark has scored all season.
The win got Spackenkill back to even at 4-4. As for Rhinebeck, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spackenkill will take on Onteora at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rhinebeck, Rhinebeck and Highland will face off at 5:45 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Highland presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Rhinebeck in New York (Highland is ranked 164th, while Rhinebeck is ranked 453rd).
