Basketball Recap: Wink Takes a Loss

After flying high against Trinity last Thursday, Wink came back down to earth. The Wink Wildcats were outmatched by the Levelland Lobos and fell 62-31. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 808th, while the Lobos are ranked 82nd).

Adelynn Thompson and Logan Lang certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Thompson posted 13 points, while Lang earned eight points and five assists.

Wink's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Levelland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Wink wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 38-30 defeat against Andrews on the 13th. As for Levelland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-27 victory against Midland Christian on the 13th.
