Basketball Game Preview: Memphis Yellowjackets vs. Marlette Red Raiders

Memphis hasn't had much luck against Marlette recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Memphis Yellowjackets will be playing at home against the Marlette Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Memphis is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were dealt a 61-29 defeat at the hands of Brown City. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 521st, while the Green Devils are ranked 260th).

Meanwhile, Marlette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Almont, falling 52-23.

Memphis' defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Marlette, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Memphis beat Marlette 31-21 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Memphis repeat their success, or does Marlette have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
