Basketball Recap: Mendon Sets Scoring Season-High Against Tekonsha

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mendon). They claimed a resounding 65-17 win over the Tekonsha Indians. With the Hornets ahead 34-3 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Mendon was led to victory by Owen Gorham and Ryder Gorham. Owen dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards, while Ryder dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten assists. Ben Iobe was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Mendon was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Mendon has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Tekonsha, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mendon will welcome Quincy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mendon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season. As for Tekonsha, they will challenge Camden-Frontier at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
