Baseball Recap: Moline Comes Up Short

Moline lost against East Moline United on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Maroons fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-3. That's two games in a row now that the Maroons have lost by exactly two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Moline and nudges their season record down to 17-13. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only two runs. As for East Moline United, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moline will welcome LaSalle-Peru at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for East Moline United, they will be playing at home against Morton at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
