Softball Recap: Mendenhall Comes Up Short

Mendenhall lost to Florence back in April of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers fell 6-1 to the Eagles.

Corrine Allen made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Allen is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Mendenhall now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Florence, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Mendenhall will challenge West Marion at 11:40 a.m. on Saturday. As for Florence, they will take on Puckett at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
