Baseball Game Preview: Evergreen Vikings vs. Edgerton Bulldogs

The Evergreen Vikings will head out to take on the Edgerton Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Evergreen made easy work of Swanton and carried off a 7-1 win.

Meanwhile, Edgerton posted their closest victory since April 5, 2024 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Ayersville. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

The team relied heavily on Cory Herman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellen Sanchez, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

The victory got Evergreen back to even at 2-2. As for Edgerton, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-5.

Evergreen couldn't quite get it done against Edgerton when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-3. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
