Basketball Recap: Cripple Creek-Victor Takes a Loss

Cripple Creek-Victor lost against Fountain Valley back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cripple Creek-Victor Pioneers were beaten by the Fountain Valley Danes 64-23. The Pioneers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-14.

Keagan Pappas was Cripple Creek-Victor's leading scorer, having posted six points.

Jaden Lopez-Hardy was his usual excellent self, putting up 21 points for Fountain Valley. Lopez-Hardy's big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Tenzin Tinley was another key player, earning ten points.

Cripple Creek-Victor is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14. As for Fountain Valley, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Cripple Creek-Victor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-16 loss against Aguilar on the 22nd. As for Fountain Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 62-34 victory against The Colorado Springs School on the 22nd.
