Football Recap: St. Joseph Piles Up the Points Against Edison

St. Joseph got themselves on the board against Edison on Friday, but Edison never followed suit. They breezed past the Tigers to the tune of 28-0. The Knights not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 4, 2024 (when they won 31-0).

Leading St. Joseph to victory were Grayson Gaines and Jack Heaslet. Gaines gained 205 total yards and two touchdowns, while Heaslet threw for 224 yards and one TD. A healthy portion of that aerial production (101 yards to be exact) went to Dominick Rucobo.

St. Joseph was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 216 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Edison only rushed for 101 rushing yards.

The victory got St. Joseph back to even at 1-1. As for Edison, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

St. Joseph didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 31-6 win against Hanford on the 4th. As for Edison, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 48-30 loss against Buchanan on the 4th.
