Azle Christian took down Victory Baptist Academy 60-46 on Tuesday. This was payback for Azle Christian, who suffered a 48-31 loss the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Victory Baptist Academy had strong showings from Brock Hestand, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals, and Isaac Johnson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 15 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Vinnie Catuto, who scored three points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Even though they lost, Victory Baptist Academy were working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Azle Christian's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9. As for Victory Baptist Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.
