Soccer Game Preview: Wesclin vs. Hillsboro

The Wesclin Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Hillsboro Hiltoppers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wesclin will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last.

Wesclin is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They blew past Valmeyer 10-1 on Monday. It was an even better day for Brady Twenhafel as he scored five goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Hillsboro entered their match against Litchfield on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Hiltoppers fell just short of the Purple Panthers by a score of 2-1.

Hillsboro's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 12-3-1. As for Wesclin, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.

Wesclin skirted past Hillsboro 2-1 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
