Berthoud extends home winning streak to six

Recap: Berthoud Spartans vs. The Classical Academy Titans

After losing to The Classical Academy Titans the last time they met, the Berthoud Spartans decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Berthoud came out on top against The Classical Academy by a score of 53-46 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Berthoud.

Berthoud's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Callies, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Reece Stratmeyer, who scored 11 points.

Despite the loss, The Classical Academy still got an impressive performance from Avian Mersereau, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mersereau has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Osterloh, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Berthoud pushed their record up to 8-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for The Classical Academy, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Berthoud will be playing in front of their home fans against Resurrection Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for The Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Falcon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Falcon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday.
