Soccer Recap: Lockland Takes a Loss

Lockland scored the most goals they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 5-2 to the Aiken Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lockland of the 4-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Lockland's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Aiken, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lockland will head out to take on Purcell Marian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lockland will be up against Purcell Marian's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.78 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Aiken, they will take on Withrow at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The game will give Aiken their first taste of in-conference action this season.
