Softball Recap: Senath-Hornersville Comes Up Short

Senath-Hornersville managed to slip by Twin Rivers the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lions came up short against the Royals on Thursday, falling 12-0. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Royals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Senath-Hornersville and nudges their season record down to 6-9. As for Twin Rivers, their win bumped their record up to 9-3-1.

Looking ahead, Senath-Hornersville will challenge Dexter at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Twin Rivers, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against East Prairie at 4:30 p.m. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.24 runs per game on average), something the Royals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
