Baseball Recap: Satellite's Run of Eight Straight Wins Now Over

It was a good run, but Satellite unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Vero Beach Indians by a score of 3-1. If the Scorpions were looking for revenge after losing 11-2 to the Indians when the teams met back in March of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Michael Faucher was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Satellite saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Reiter, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Satellite's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Vero Beach, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Looking ahead, Satellite will be playing in front of their home fans against New Smyrna Beach at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Vero Beach, they will venture away from home to challenge Stewarts Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
