Football Recap: Weber Comes Up Short

Weber and Herriman squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Weber had to settle for second. They were dealt a 62-32 loss at the hands of the Mustangs. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-16.

Weber lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was CARTER PAYNE, who threw for 279 yards and three TDs. He has become a key player for Weber: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 2-5 otherwise. CREED DEVRIES was PAYNE's top target, picking up 161 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Tyler Messer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Herriman, throwing for 268 yards and two touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 74 yards and one TD on only eight carries.all of that, receiving production came thanks to one massive catch Another player making a difference was Felisi Felipe, who rushed for 104 yards and three scores on only 11 carries.

Weber is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6. As for Herriman, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Weber does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Herriman, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 22-14 defeat against Mountain Ridge on the 7th.
