Basketball Recap: Lorenzo Major and Antonio Brown JR Secure Win for Norland

Norland had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They secured a 53-48 W over the Port Charlotte Pirates.

Leading Norland to victory were Antonio Brown JR and Lorenzo Major. Brown JR almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards, while Major went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points and six assists. What's more, Brown JR also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Oneal Norelus was another key player, putting up six points.

Norland is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Port Charlotte, they moved to 16-4 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.
