Football Recap: La Quinta's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

La Quinta was the 42-12 winner over Mountain View when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Aztecs took a 19-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings on Friday. The loss put an end to the Aztecs' undefeated start to the season.

Everardo Nunez produced another solid effort rushing for 76 yards and two TDs for Mountain View. Ghio Villa got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, La Quinta fell to 1-1-1. As for Mountain View, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Quinta will host Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mountain View, they will welcome South El Monte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Vikings' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
