Volleyball Game Preview: Aztec Tigers vs. Kirtland Central Broncos

The Aztec Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Kirtland Central Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aztec has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with six straight losses, while Kirtland Central will come in with nine straight wins.

On Tuesday, Aztec came up short against Shiprock and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Kirtland Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Miyamura on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1.

Kirtland Central walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-19, 21-26, 25-21.

Kirtland Central's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Aztec, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Aztec might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Kirtland Central in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
