Volleyball Recap: Alamo Heights Triumphs

Alamo Heights posted their closest victory since August 31, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Tarkington Longhorns 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mules.

Charlie Voss paced Alamo Heights' offense, picking up ten kills. Voss got some help from Haley Reno and her 20 assists. Ava Johnson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, Tarkington saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Paisley Hearn had 19 digs and one assist. With that strong performance, Hearn is now averaging an impressive 10.9 digs per game.

Alamo Heights' win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Tarkington, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Coincidentally, Alamo Heights and Tarkington will both be playing Fort Bend Christian Academy the next time they take the court. The Longhorns will head out to face the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Mules will play them later in the day, at 2:15 p.m.
