Weston Gloss and Tyler Mundy provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Perry-Lecompton. The longest such play in Big Seven this season, the connection resulted in 81 yards.
The Kaws were the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from sixth to fourth in the league. Perry-Lecompton vanquished Santa Fe Trail 28-20 earlier in the week.
The Chargers' dynamic duo of Gloss and Mundy proved tough for Mike Paramore's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Gloss threw for 243 yards and 3 touchdowns and Mundy had 191 yards receiving. Cody Vandevord helped Santa Fe Trail's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 44 yards.
Santa Fe Trail's dynamic duo of Gloss and Mundy proved to be unstoppable against the Kaws, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Gloss put up the best numbers through the air as Jayson Duncan's team lost to Perry-Lecompton.
Brandon Eddy was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 158 yards on 24 carries as the Kaws lost to the Kaws. Teammate Rj Whitaker added to the ground attack by rushing for 54 yards.
Mundy was the best wideout in Big Seven this week as Santa Fe Trail lost to Perry-Lecompton.
The Chargers' Gloss and Mundy have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gloss has thrown for 583 yards this season, while Mundy, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 21 catches for 433 yards. Royal Valley's Matthew Bailey leads the league in rushing yards with 315.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Holton takes on Hiawatha. At the moment, the Wildcats are in third, while the Red Hawks are in sixth.
Atchison County and Doniphan West played the closest game in the league this week, with Atchison County eventually emerging with a 14-13 victory. Scott Birkinsha ran for 107 yards in the win.
