Softball Recap: Exeter Comes Up Short

If Exeter was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Blue Eye on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell 8-5 to the Crane Pirates on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 back in March.

Exeter's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8-1. As for Crane, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Exeter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crane, they are taking a road trip to take on Purdy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Pirates' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
