Basketball Recap: Eastern Starts Season with Win Against South Oldham

Eastern took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They snuck past the South Oldham Dragons with an 80-74 victory. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Dragons, too.

Damian Jung was nothing short of spectacular: he dropped a double-double with 33 points and 16 boards. Another player making a difference was Bramer Thornsbury, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Coming up, Eastern will face off against Pulaski County at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for South Oldham, they will be playing at home against Bardstown at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
