Soccer Recap: Bethel Comes Up Short

Bethel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Gloucester Dukes, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Bethel can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Gloucester are ranked 22nd).

Bethel's loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1. As for Gloucester, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Bethel will take on rival Hampton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Gloucester is set to square off against their familiar foe Phoebus at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
