Softball Recap: Jordan Has No Trouble Against East Chapel Hill

Jordan won the last time they faced East Chapel Hill and things went their way on Thursday too. Jordan blew past East Chapel Hill 17-7. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won five matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Fiona Spagnardi looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jordan got a massive performance out of Kylie Specht, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI Specht has posted since back in April of 2024. Sydney Cornwell was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Jordan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive contests.

Jordan's record now sits at 8-2. As for East Chapel Hill, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

After both having extra time off, Jordan and Riverside-Durham will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on April 8. As for East Chapel Hill, they will face off against Hillside at 5:00 p.m. on April 8. East Chapel Hill's pitchers better be ready for this one: Hillside has averaged an impressive 10.3 runs per game this season.
