Softball Recap: Mccollum Has No Trouble Against Harlandale

McCollum never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Harlandale Indians. Considering the Cowboys have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

MARTINEZ LAUREN and SORAYA TORRES did most of the damage at the plate: LAUREN scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while TORRES went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was CAITLYN HINES, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

McCollum was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. The last time their batting average was this high was back in February.

McCollum's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Harlandale, they moved to 10-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McCollum will challenge Gonzales at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harlandale, they will face off against Jay at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
