Softball Recap: Bernie Beats Scott City for Their Sixth Straight Win

Bernie waltzed into their game on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Scott City Rams with a sharp 14-7 victory. Considering the Mules have won 19 matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Bernie pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Scott City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bernie will challenge Clarkton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Scott City, they will square off against Shawnee at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
