Basketball Recap: Wilcox County's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

If Dooly County wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Wilcox County, they should've done a better job of containing Jackson Smith. The Wilcox County Patriots claimed a resounding 70-37 win over the Dooly County Bobcats thanks in part to Smith, who went 9 of 17 on his way to 21 points and eight rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played.

Wilcox County moved to 6-13 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Dooly County, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Wilcox County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-59 win against Treutlen on the 5th. Dooly County has also already played their next contest, a 66-61 defeat against Telfair County on the 4th.
