Volleyball Recap: Mills Comes Up Short

Mills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Burlingame Panthers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

While Mills ultimately came up short, they really made Burlingame work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 28-26.

Burlingame was led to victory by Reiter Madden and Garret Wang. Madden had ten digs and two assists, while Wang had 14 assists and three digs. That's the most digs Wang has posted since back in March.

Mills' defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Burlingame, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-4.

Mills didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Prospect on the 12th. As for Burlingame, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Oak Grove on the 12th.
