Hobart gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They skirted past the South Central Satellites 45-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Brickies have posted since December 4, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hobart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Paxson Hicko, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 12 points. Ryan Basham was another key player, going 5-for-8 en route to 14 points.

Several Satellites players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Logan Terkovitz, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Grass, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 13 points.

South Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Hobart will take on Calumet New Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Central, they have already played their next matchup, a 60-38 victory against Trinity Academy on the 5th.
