Basketball Recap: Lake Brantley Comes Up Short

Lake Brantley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost to the Evans Trojans at home by a 42-28 margin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-20 last Monday.

Despite the loss, Lake Brantley still got an impressive performance from Olivia White, who posted 14 points. Alana Taylor was another key player, putting up seven points.

Lake Brantley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Evans, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-7 record this season.

Lake Brantley and Windermere will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake Brantley is facing Windermere at the right time seeing as Windermere is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Evans, they and Tohopekaliga will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Tohopekaliga's defense has only allowed 26 points per game this season, so Evans' offense will have their work cut out for them.
