Softball Game Preview: St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints vs. Puckett Wolves

For the first time this season, St. Andrew's Episcopal will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Puckett Wolves at 4:00 p.m. Puckett took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Andrew's Episcopal, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four losses in a row dating back to last season, St. Andrew's Episcopal turned things around against McLaurin back in February. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Tigers. The high-scoring effort was just what the Saints needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, Puckett fell victim to North Pike and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 7-0 to the Jaguars. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Wolves were not able to get on the board.

The win got St. Andrew's Episcopal back to even at 1-1. As for Puckett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4-1.

St. Andrew's Episcopal might still be hurting after the 17-0 defeat they got from Puckett when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can St. Andrew's Episcopal avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
