Recap: North Mustangs vs. Casa Grande Cougars
On Tuesday, North didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Casa Grande, but they still walked away with a 47-42 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for North.
North found their leader in underclassman Xxylina Flores, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Flores has scored at least 25% of North's points. Saniyah Downing was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 7 rebounds.
North's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Casa Grande, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
North will square off against Florence at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Casa Grande, they will face off against San Tan Foothills at 12:45 p.m. on Friday.
