The Triton Hawks will venture away from home to challenge the Terry Sanford Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Triton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Terry Sanford likes a good challenge.
Last Tuesday, Triton didn't have too much trouble with Pine Forest as they won 75-60.

It was another big night for Ro'Mello Pegues, who went 10 for 18 en route to 32 points. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamaury Taylor, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Terry Sanford suffered their closest loss since January 4th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Westover by a score of 62-59. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered against the Wolverines since February 4, 2022.
Triton will have to contain Jamaal Miller as he made an impact in Terry Sanford's last game. He went 8 for 10 en route to 16 points and eight boards. Miller is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brady Shortridge, who posted 11 points.
Triton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Terry Sanford, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Triton and Terry Sanford are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Triton hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 66.9 points per game. However, it's not like Terry Sanford struggles in that department as they've been averaging 60.6 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Triton was able to grind out a solid win over Terry Sanford when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 72-60. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Terry Sanford's Mason Walker, who shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Triton still be able to contain Walker? There's only one way to find out.
