Basketball Recap: Bethel Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Bethel Christian Academy lost against Veritas Christian Academy back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bethel Christian Academy Crusaders were dealt a 62-28 loss at the hands of the Veritas Christian Academy Warriors. The Crusaders were down 50-21 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Veritas Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Lee Burgess, who posted 24 points. Those 24 points gave Burgess a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eli Robbins, who put up seven points in addition to five blocks and four steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Bethel Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Veritas Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Bethel Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 55-44 win against Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy on the 9th. As for Veritas Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 82-55 defeat against Carolina Day on the 9th.
