Baseball Game Preview: Fruitdale Pirates vs. Choctaw County Tigers

The Fruitdale Pirates will square off against the Choctaw County Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Fruitdale's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over Southern Choctaw. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Lane Cochran made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Fruitdale is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-9 otherwise. Cochran was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-1.
