Football Recap: Burncoat Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The matchup between Burncoat and Leicester on Saturday hardly resembled the 22-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Patriots took a 37-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines. The Patriots were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wolverines from their previous meeting back in October of 2015.

Despite the loss, Burncoat still got an impressive performance from Marcus Dascelin, who rushed for 153 yards and two scores on only 12 carries. Dascelin's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 106 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Jaxon Ruth was nothing short of spectacular for Leicester: he rushed for 157 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries, and also threw for 87 yards and one touchdown on only eight passes. The dominant performance also gave Ruth a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

Burncoat's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Leicester, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Burncoat is taking a road trip to take on Millbury at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leicester, they will host Quabbin Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
