Soccer Game Preview: Amherst vs. Arcadia

The Amherst Falcons will square off against the Arcadia Raiders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Amherst is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season.

Amherst's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Tri-County by a score of 2-0. Amherst haven't had any issues with Tri-County recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Blake Wendlandt and Ayden Kazda scored both of Amherst's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

Meanwhile, Arcadia got the win against La Crosse Logan on Tuesday by a conclusive 7-0. Arcadia might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by three goals or more this season.

Arcadia's victory bumped their record up to 15-0-1. As for Amherst, their win bumped their record up to 8-2-1.

Amherst skirted past Arcadia 2-1 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
