Football Preview: Lakeland Hawks vs. Lewiston Bengals        
        
		
             The Lakeland Hawks are taking a road trip to  challenge the Lewiston Bengals  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  both  will really light up the scoreboard.
 Lakeland will bounce into Friday's   contest after  beating Sandpoint, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Lakeland took their  game at home  on Friday with ease, bagging  a  41-7 victory over Sandpoint. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won five matches by 21  points or more  so far this season.
 It was another big night for  Kage (Lovie) Weil, who rushed for 205 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 129  rushing yards dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Haydon Benson, who rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
 He was just one part of a punishing run game: Lakeland was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 304  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Lewiston entered their tilt with Lake City on Friday with two consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy  38-21 win over the Timberwolves.
 The  victory was also the third in a row for Lakeland, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. As for Lewiston, their record is now 5-3.
 Lakeland strolled past Lewiston in their previous meeting  back in September of 2020 by a score of  39-24. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lakeland since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
